Royal Philips is once again ranked a top 50 “best global brand“. Its brand value increased to USD 12.1 billion (from USD 11.5 billion) resulting in a #43 ranking in Interbrand’s 2018 Best Global Brands ranking. In terms of the perception and experience of the Philips brand, the company’s scores for brand differentiation and brand consistency both rose.
There are no surprises in the top-5 of the list, with Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Coca-Cola. Philips is the highest placed Dutch brand, before Heineken and Shell.
“The brand communication platform ‘There is always a way to make life better’, which we introduced in 2017 was designed to drive brand differentiation and consistency”, said Tomasz Lisewski, Head of Brand, Communications, Digital & Marketing at Philips. “And I am proud to see that the results of all our marketing efforts are reflected in this year’s Interbrand’s Best Global Brands ranking.”
Philips just released a new brand campaign in Germany, which is set to be rolled out to other markets in 2019. This campaign takes six ‘hero’ propositions from Philips’ diverse portfolio of consumer solutions and unifies them under the brand communication platform ‘There is always a way to make life better’, showing how Philips’ products and solutions fit into people’s daily routines to improve their lives.
