Tech company Sioux has joined forces with Romanian software developer Qubiz. The two parties have been working together for some time now, but are now going one step further. The fruitful cooperation is now entering its next phase with the opening of a centre of expertise in Romania. Sioux is co-owner of this joint Big Data centre.
Ron Willems, who is responsible for the electronics and software division, says that knowledge and skills on Big Data are essential: “Our customers are in the process of making the transition to Industry 4.0. Machines are connected via the Cloud, critical information must be accessible 24 hours a day via secure channels and service must be provided remotely. In Qubiz, we have found the perfect partner to strengthen our expertise in this area.” According to Sioux, cooperation between the companies offers quality and flexibility, while the engineers of Sioux remain the trusted point of contact for the customers.
“Data is available on an increasingly large scale within the industry.” says Janne Brok, manager at the mathematics engineering division of Sioux. “In addition to challenges related to algorithms and analytics, our customers need support in the infrastructure and application domain. Together with Qubiz, we can take care of the complete scope of big data projects for our customers. The integrated multidisciplinary approach of Sioux and Qubiz will make the difference here.”
Qubiz, a leading software company in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, has a strong connection with the local labour market. Due to the cooperation, Sioux has access to 170 experienced and highly educated IT specialists with a rich knowledge of Big Data and Cloud solutions, in addition to their experience in developing web & mobile software solutions.
Setting up a joint expertise centre is a logical next step for both parties, Marcel Angel, CEO of Qubiz explains: “Entering into a strategic partnership with Sioux creates a synergy that enables our teams to work together on very complex projects as if they were one team. Previous experiences on projects have shown that there is a lot of and rapid learning on both sides. Without a doubt, this next step is an enormous incentive for our entire team to work even more closely together on even more exciting projects.”
