In its drive to become the hardware high-tech capital of the world, Eindhoven wants to host an annual event in which the best companies in the sector are honoured. Within five years from now, the “Oscars of High Tech” should help to create a high-tech community that looks at Eindhoven as the logical global place-to-be.
The Oscars will annually be awarded to the best international performers in bringing technology to market. The award ceremony will be the highlight of a two day event, city marketing organisation Eindhoven365 writes in its new strategy plan.
The Oscar ceremony is part of a strategic line that aims to position Eindhoven as “High Tech Hardware Capital of the World.” That should attract both new businesses and investors. “This helps in getting the international high-tech scaleup community to Eindhoven.”
