Security company Madison Gurkha, based in Eindhoven, has fully acquired ITSX, located at the Hague Security Delta Campus in The Hague. The new enterprise will be named Madison Gurkha, ITSX will disappear. One of the ambitions is to expand internationally. No mention was made of the amount of money that was needed for the takeover.
Madison Gurkha, founded in 2000 and also partner of HSD, is a specialist in the field of risk management, compliance and privacy issues and has more than 30 employees. ITSX is a specialist in the field of information security, IT audit & compliance, security as a service and risk management. The company, which has about 10 employees, is located at the HSD Campus, the national innovation centre for security in The Hague.
“Over the past 16 years, Madison Gurkha has slowly but steadily grown to be the leading technical IT security company in the Netherlands. We are now ready for the next stage of our development”, says Remco Huisman, Madison Gurkha’s commercial director.
Until recently Madison Gurkha held a majority interest in ITSX, led by Ralph Moonen. He built ITSX into a strong player in IT security consultancy. Merging Madison Gurkha and ITSX is therefore a logical next step.
“As director of ITSX, I look forward to my new role at Madison Gurkha. In the coming months, we will work on the further integration of Madison Gurkha and ITSX. This will result in one single company over the course of 2017”, states Ralph Moonen.
The upcoming integration will also bring other changes. As of 2 January 2017 Dirk Jan van den Heuvel (founder of Collis and former executive director/VP at Underwriter Laboratories (UL)) is part of Madison Gurkha as majority shareholder and managing director. Van den Heuvel will complete the board of directors together with Ralph Moonen (technical director) and Remco Huisman (commercial director).
“With this change, Madison Gurkha has made a conscious decision to preserve its independence”, says Huisman. “The organisations that we provide services to will be able to continue to trust our dependable, objective and professional advice. Together, we will contribute to a secure IT landscape.”
