As of 2 July, Wizzair will fly twice a week from Eindhoven Airport to Vienna. The Hungarian airline will be operating the flights to the Austrian capital on Mondays and Fridays.
This route was created because Wizzair will open a base at Schwechat Airport in Vienna later this year. With this extension, Vienna will become the twentieth destination of Wizzair from Eindhoven Airport. The city on the Danube has been in demand by travelers from the Benelux in recent years, says a spokesman for the airport. “And that’s not limited to a city trip. Vienna is also a good match for companies active in the automotive and high-tech sectors.”
