In an exciting startup award show in Singapore, CEO Valer Pop of Eindhoven-based LifeSense Group beat ManusVR, also originating from Eindhoven. The two made the finals of the Get In The Ring Contest after a competition between more than 5,000 startups from 100 countries around the globe.
The final 6 startups participated in three different categories for the title of Global Winner. After a long battle, Lifesense Group was crowned as the 2017 winner of the Global Startup Competition.

In a packed Club Millian in Singapore, 600 innovation lovers witnessed the competition in the lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight category. LifeSense Group, which creates wearables with healthcare applications for women, won the prestigious competition in the heavyweight category. A jury consisting of three ‘champions’ chose the winning startups out of 6 participants in the final. Over 5,000 startups took part in the competition, of which only 150 startups were chosen to fly to Singapore for the Global Final. James Tan, Managing Partner of Quest Ventures, was responsible for the judging together with serial entrepreneur Jay Krishnan and Singaporean angel investor Shao-Ning Huang. Apart from LifeSense Group the other two winners were Edupass and Hargol Foodtech.
