After two successful editions in 2022 and 2023, the organization of LEVEL UP is gearing up for the third one. On Monday, September 30, the startup event will take place at the Evoluon venue in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. During the event, startups get the opportunity to strengthen their businesses with new expertise and the experience of other founders. With a focus on the Benelux, LEVEL UP is looking more explicitly across the borders for the first time.

Keynotes

As in previous years, the event features a mix of keynotes, workshops, panel sessions, and networking opportunities. The first keynote confirmed is by Rina Joosten-Rabou. She is an authority on the artificial intelligence (AI) landscape and co-founder and CEO of Pera. The tech scale-up Pera develops AI-enabled HR solutions to confidently support companies in investing in the right people.

What can you expect at LEVEL UP 2024?

  • Learn how to align your business model with your marketplace better
  • Experience how others have assembled their best team ever
  • Strengthen your pitch to investors in the investor café
  • Share your challenges in the clubhouse and get answers from peers
  • Network with entrepreneurs, accelerators, and incubators

The event’s focus on startups in innovation and technology makes it unique in Europe. “The powerful collaborative ecosystem in Brainport ensures that opportunities for startups are increased and their growth can accelerate”, says co-organizer Jeroen van Woerden (The Gate). “This fits our strategy of finding, supporting, and retaining innovative European entrepreneurs and technology. This is important because we want to discover the next growth diamonds, like ASML, rather today than tomorrow.”

The Brabant way

In addition to The Gate, Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM) and Braventure are in charge of the organization. “LEVEL UP has proven itself in a short time as one of the leading startup events in the Netherlands,” said Job Nijs (Braventure). “In Brabant’s style, we do this with a broad coalition of parties. The event is developing into a place where the ever-growing number of startups and relevant international players can meet each other. Because a powerful startup ecosystem thrives on relevant and fruitful encounters and good connections.”

Connection is also a guiding theme for BOM CEO Brigit van Dijk-Van de Reijt. “LEVEL UP brings together international startups, investors, and other stakeholders in a unique setting. This makes it a wonderful opportunity to highlight the importance of tech startups. They contribute to solving social issues, are at the foundation of future earning power, and drive innovation.”

Across borders

Van Dijk is pleased with LEVEL UP’s internationalization steps this year. “The Dutch startup ecosystem becoming increasingly international. So this year, we are working intensively with partners from Flanders, Luxembourg, and France. This cooperation already provides an international investors cafe, inspiring keynotes, an exciting workshop program, and an international tech award. The side events with the four Dutch universities of technology, the pension funds, and Techleap are the proverbial icing on the cake. LEVEL UP is indispensable for startups and also a must for investors.”
