This spring presents a unique opportunity for software and smart hardware startups to win a golden ticket to the five-week Draper University Hero Training program in San Mateo. This exciting Silicon Valley accelerator experience is designed to provide founders with the skills, mindset, and network to take their ventures to the next level at unprecedented speed and impact.
The big prize is a Draper University Hero Training from June 24 – July 26, 2024. This five-week entrepreneurship program includes eight modules, numerous speaker sessions, workshops, and team activities. The package consists of flight costs, on-campus accommodation, and co-working space in downtown San Mateo, California. With a commercial value of $14.000, it is offered by Draper University.
Pitching Finals
The deadline for submissions is April 25, 2024. Th six most promising entries are invited for a pitch on May 13, 16:00, at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven. Draper’s Silicon Spring Pitch Prize competition results from a partnership between LUMO Labs, Draper University, High Tech Campus Eindhoven, and LUMO Labs’ local ecosystem partners.
Draper University was founded in 2012 by the legendary Silicon Valley venture capitalist Tim Draper with a vision and belief that to change the world, we have to change education. Draper focuses on hands-on training, an innovative curriculum, and thought leadership. This way, he hopes to bring together young entrepreneurs, startup founders, executives, and investors under one roof.
What to expect

The jury will convene on May 1st to evaluate and discuss the submissions and select the six finalists for the live pitches. All applicants will be notified on May 2nd whether or not they have been selected for the finals on May 13th.
The finals of Draper’s Silicon Spring Pitch Prize will take place on Monday, May 13th in presence of the jury. They will be held at the Conference Center High Tech Campus. Each of the six selected finalists is allowed two attendants, including one presenter, who will pitch on stage and one supporter who can contribute to the Q&A with the jury after the pitch. Two representatives of the Draper University will attend the event from San Mateo via live stream.
