IT company Beckhoff Automation BV has opened an office in Eindhoven. Beckhoff’s headquarters are in Germany and the company has offices in sixty countries. The company already has an office in Haarlem. Brainport Development has helped Beckhoff find an office because of the good fit within the manufacturing industry in Eindhoven. “Opening an office in Eindhoven does not only mean extra employment but also a reinforcement of our smart manufacturing industry cluster”, says the acting director of Brainport Development Joep Brouwers.
Beckhoff implements open automation systems based on PC Control technology. The product range covers Industrial PCs, I/O and Fieldbus Components, Drive Technology and automation software. Products that can be used as separate components or integrated into a complete and seamless control system are available for all industries.
Erik Reichardt has been appointed as the business developer for the new office. The first vacancies have already been posted. To him settling in Eindhoven is a logical choice. “Beckhoff is a frontrunner in development and innovation of automation systems,” says Reichardt. “This matches with the character of the Brainport Eindhoven region, that is why opening an office in Eindhoven was quite self-evident. Moreover, an important part of our customers is in the south of the Netherlands. Beckhoff Eindhoven makes it possible to realize a better support and closer collaboration.”
