StartupDelta and minister Kamp have selected 30 startups that will participate in the first Holland Startup Pavilion at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Among them are four from Eindhoven: ByFlow, SendCloud, E-senses and Ato-gear. CES is the largest technology trade show in the world, showcasing more than 3,800 companies and startups. The participating startups will be sharing a Netherlands Startup & Innovation Pavilion in Eureka Hall, the flagship startup destination at CES.

Minister for Economic Affairs Henk Kamp and Startup Envoy Constantijn van Oranje will lead an economic mission to CES. The Holland Startup Pavilion in Eureka Park will be an innovation in itself. Usually only established businesses and corporations from the Netherlands take part in CES.

Special Startup Envoy Constantijn van Oranje is delighted with the response. “There was an abundance of sign-ups from very high quality startups from all the major tech regions in the Netherlands. The huge interest exceeded our expectations. The selected startups are a showcase of the many areas of innovation and technology in which The Netherlands excels.”

Minister for Economic Affairs Henk Kamp: “The Netherlands is one of Europe’s innovation leaders and is one of the world’s most competitive economies. Our entrepreneurs have a lot to offer in terms of technology. It is therefore important that we are bringing this delegation of enthusiastic and promising startups to the world’s biggest technology conference. We will help the Dutch startups present themselves and build networks. Together we will bring home the most cutting-edge technology and information.”

About the participants:

ATO-Gear

ATO gearATO-GEAR develop wearable technologies for health and sports applications centered around the belief that better exercise means a better life. 7 years of research at institutes across Europe and 7 patents spun out from the Dutch National Research Institute, TNO, form the foundation of ATO-GEAR. Their heritage of research and patent portfolio span multiple domains and technology positions, but they have a keen initial focus on the running market, helping to protect runners from injuries that plague the sport and assisting ambitious athletes in optimising their performance.

ATO-GEAR’s first product ARION comprises ultra-thin, printed electronic pressure sensitive insoles that slip into your own running shoes and connect you with your running technique in a way that has never been possible before. By translating rich biomechanical data into intuitive and easy to understand interfaces, ARION breaks down running technique into simple pieces. A runner can focus on one element of their running technique at a time, master that element before moving on to the next.

This allows you to take control and rebuild your own running technique to achieve your goals, whether that be to improve your performance or to reduce your risk of injury.
