Brunei, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines: these may actually the ideal holiday destinations for some of us, for others these are excellent business opportunities. For this latter group, Brainport Development will have a special “ASEAN Business Dialogue” at the end of this month – a meeting for entrepreneurs considering doing business in these countries.
The ten countries together account for some 600 million inhabitants and have an economic growth rate of 5% per year, making the ASEAN region an interesting market. For those who want to explore these opportunities, the ASEAN Business Dialogue is a nice starting point, says Naomie Verstraeten of Brainport Development. “This region has a fast-growing middle class that offers extensive export opportunities for Dutch companies. During the ASEAN Business Dialogue, we have expert tables where a range of topics are discussed in an informal setting and experiences are shared with regard to expansion into ASEAN countries. In addition, the Dutch embassies in the ASEAN countries will be available this afternoon to connect Brainport entrepreneurs to their local network. With the knowledge and handles from this afternoon, they could start developing an ASEAN network the very next day.”
Participation in the event on October 27th (13:00 – 18:00) is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. The organisation is lead by Brainport Eindhoven, Banning Legal & Tax and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
