Annelies Termeer will succeed Ton van Gool as editor in chief of VPRO Medialab. On April 1, Van Gool will start as the new director of STRP, the organization highlighting creative technology in Eindhoven for 12 years now. At the time, he was one of STRP’s initiators. He has always followed STRP’s development closely but was never actively involved in the organization.
Annelies Termeer has been involved in the projects from the beginning of VPRO Medialab in 2015. She was project leader for Hackathons, weknowhowyoufeel.nu (the online part of We Know How You Feel during the DDW 2017) and Blok22. This last project, which is central in 2018, focuses on the Internet of Things. With Blok22, VPRO Medialab wants to explore the possibilities of storytelling in, around and with a ‘smart home’. Furthermore, the project also wants to contribute to awareness around the Internet of Things.
