With AMcubator, Brainport Industries Campus gets a “One-stop-shop” for industries that want to use 3D printing as a production technology. The center is an initiative of Marketiger founder Maikel de Wit and Maarten van Dijk of Additive Center and focuses on a faster development of 3D printed parts in high volumes.

Launching partners are Royal DSM, Hexagon, AM-flow, and AM solutions. “Only collaboration between partner companies from the ecosystem can lead to new and disruptive 3D printing applications,” says Maarten van Dijk. “That is why we have chosen to create a center where we can physically bring together the technologies and experts of market leaders in the 3D printing industry.”

AMcubator has 1100m2 at its disposal at the Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven. There will be a development center as well as the possibility for members to install machines in a pilot plant. “AMcubator takes the facilitating role between the members and makes sure that we are the one-stop-shop for all industries that want to use 3D printing as a production technology.”

“We believe that cooperation is essential for a scalable future of 3D print production processes,” says Maikel de Wit. “We have every opportunity to support companies from initial ideas to running pilot productions and developing market applications”. The ambition extends beyond the region: “We want to develop into the world’s hotspot for high-volume 3D printed applications.”

AMclub

Besides the 3D printing memberships, AMcubator also offers AMclub: a membership developed for companies that want to use 3D printing within their organization. With this membership, companies have access to four events a year to keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of additive manufacturing.
