FormNext, the number 1 global tradeshow for 3D printing in Frankfurt, has brought Additive Industries yet another big agreement: Intech has ordered its first Additive Industries MetalFAB1 system. “The order of the leading metal additive manufacturing company in India underlines our expansion to Asia”, the company said. Both process and application development and customer support will be done from the recently announced regional Additive Industries centre in Singapore.
“Accelerating adoption of additive manufacturing is the primary objective at Intech. Moving from prototyping to series production with a focus on cost per part with repeatable quality is the way forward”, said Sridhar Balaram, CEO of Intech. “This is a stepping stone for Intech in achieving its goal to meet the demands of customer requirements of printing large parts. With Additive Industries’ MetalFAB1 we can now scale for volume.”
“We are excited to expand our installed base to India with such an experienced partner”, added Ilko Bosman, CFO of Additive Industries. “Their order confirms our strategy and focus around industrialization and productivity leadership.” CEO Daan Kersten: “The Indian market offers a great potential for our technology because of the well-developed markets of aerospace, automotive and medical implants.”
