Amsterdam-based Watermeln, a provider of hydrogen fuel cell generators, has raised over 3.5 million euros. The company offers sustainable solutions for power supply at locations without (or with limited) grid connection, such as festivals, construction sites, and loading docks.

Watermeln is investing a total of more than 4 million euros in scaling up and purchasing hydrogen generators, strengthening its position as a market leader in sustainable power supply. Last year, the company already managed to raise over 1.5 million.

Currently, Watermeln’s rental fleet consists of three WM-200 units, each with an output of 200 kW. The new investment will expand the fleet to 13 units, allowing Watermeln to serve significantly more projects. This is just the beginning: in addition to the WM-200, they will develop both smaller and larger hydrogen generators and storage tanks, in order to serve a wider range of customers.

The financing was made possible by Amsterdams Klimaat en Energiefonds (AKEF) and BEEQUIP.
