Decarbonizing Europe – Denmark

What are Denmark’s plans to become more sustainable?
Find out in our project Decarbonizing Europe

The European Commission gave Denmark €1.5 billion. In the country, climate transition is already regulated by law, as the climate minister – and the government too – must step down if it doesn’t meet the climate goals. In addition to that, about 8 out of 10 Danes believe that climate change is the biggest challenge of the century – the highest percentage in the European Union. In its recovery plan, Copenhagen includes a Green Tax reform, subsidies for sustainable mobility, and the replacement of oil burners and furnaces.
