It has the Apple M2 chip and a new R1 chip, a specialised chip that processes the data from the sensors. It has a dual micro-oled display with a total of 23 million pixels. Magnetically attached lenses, made in collaboration with Zeiss, enable people who need glasses to use the system. The system is powered by a separate battery to make the headset lighter. A new version of the Apple operating software, called VisionOS, forms the software core. The software gives access to a specialised app store.
