Huasun Energy has signed a framework agreement with INERCOM, a prominent European EPC company, to supply 1.5 GW of ultra-high efficiency Himalaya series HJT modules for INERCOM’s large public service projects in Bulgaria by the end of 2025. This deal makes Huasun the first company to secure gigawatt-scale orders in the HJT domain. In 2021, Huasun provided 86 MW of high-efficiency HJT solar modules for INERCOM’s public utility solar energy project in southern Bulgaria, and by the end of 2023, they will deliver over 500 MW of HJT solar modules for projects in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria’s PV projects benefit from the 1.5GW HJT module supply deal

The 1.5GW HJT module supply deal between Huasun and INERCOM will support multiple utility-scale PV projects in Bulgaria. One of these projects is the Apriltsi solar park, with a capacity of 150 MW. INERCOM, the main contractor for the project, has already built and put into operation 57 MW of the project’s capacity in 2021. The main supplier of solar panels for this project is Huasun, while the supplier and partner in the electrical part is Hitachi Energy Bulgaria EOOD.

Following the success of the Apriltsi solar farm, the 1.5GW HJT module supply deal aims to bring Huasun’s advanced Himalaya series HJT modules to more utility-scale PV projects in Bulgaria, with the first 500 MW to be delivered by the end of 2023.

Both companies have a strong track record in the solar energy sector, with INERCOM having extensive experience in constructing energy facilities, including photovoltaic parks with a total installed capacity of over 150 MW in Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece. Huasun is a leading manufacturer of high-tech HJT solar products and has recently achieved an efficiency output of 723.97W with its 210mm Himalaya series modules.

A bright future for the Bulgarian PV market

With the support of advanced HJT solar modules from Huasun, INERCOM’s utility-scale PV projects in Bulgaria are poised for success. Huasun’s CEO, Dan Zhou, noted that INERCOM has been deeply involved in the Bulgarian market for many years and has participated in the development and construction of photovoltaic projects in numerous regions. He also highlighted that INERCOM was the first company to use HJT modules on a large scale in Europe, indicating a bright future and significant value for HJT technology in the European market.
