Just a year ago she was still on the stage of IO’s Gerard and Anton Awards, now she received two very different awards from Prince Constantijn van Oranje and Ivanka Trump: the Outstanding Women Entrepreneur in Science and Technology award and the Runner-Up price in the Health focus area. Sol Cabrera, together with her business partner Bart Sanders, has convincingly demonstrated that the solutions devised by STENTiT can have a global impact. Both awards are part of the Global Innovation through Science & Technology (GIST) Catalyst pitch competition.

STENTiT is a spin-off of TU Eindhoven and focuses on regenerating the arteries without invasive surgery.

The prizes were awarded today during the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in The Hague. The pitch competition, organized in collaboration with the Dutch Academic Start-Up Competition, started with 4,000 candidates from all over the world, 30 of which made it to the finals.

In addition to the honour and exposure, STENTiT won $38,000 in credits from private sponsors IBM, Google and AWS, a booth at CES 2020 and an interview with the Silicon Valley Bank.
