Welcome to the Underground! Eindhoven has a long tradition of partying in unusual or even unofficial spots. Think of Strijp-S before its reconstruction, the NRE or Strijp-T. But, even so, there are still secret places where even the truest Eindhoven-residents have hardly ever been for a beer. The guys behind Biki90 promise a “Rough Guide To Eindhoven” during the new international students’ introduction week in August.

Cosmos, the International Student Association of Eindhoven University of Technology, and the Hub for Expats have asked Biki90 to help them with the organisation of a party during freshers week. René Bakkerus of Biki90: “We thought it would be cool to arrange a bit of an underground freshers event with local names and parties to show the new international students that Eindhoven is more than just Stratumseind and the Markt.”

The party will take place on 20 August. Biki90 will collaborate with Nachtdieren, who will be responsible for the night’s musical stylings. Buro Bonje! has been approached to take care of the visuals. “And to keep it really ‘rough’, the location is in a spot where even real locals hardly ever party!”
