European Institution of Innovation en Technology richt twee nieuwe Knowledge and Innovation Centres op
6,000 new jobs, 600 million euros of venture capital and 1,200 graduates with relevant skills in the labour market: the European Institution of Innovation and Technology (EIT), based at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, has had a significant impact since 2010. This is evidenced by a study of the institution itself into its own functioning. It is a reason for EIT to further scale up, including the roll-out of two new Knowledge and Innovation Centres: Urban Mobility and Added Value Manufacturing.

These conclusions are set out in the report in the EIT Impact Study ‘EIT: Our Impact from 2010 to 2016‘. The study analyses the socio-economic impact of EIT and its Innovation Communities including EIT Digital between 2010 and 2016.

“The EIT and its Innovation Communities build ecosystems that bring together diverse actors in the complex innovation process”, says Professor Dr. Willem Jonker, CEO of EIT Digital. “Innovation and education go hand in hand. Ultimately, it’s all about enterprising people who deliver impactful solutions to the most important challenges in our society.”
