Many RedDots and iF-awards of course, but also prizes from The American Institute of Architects, Good Design, Core77, dmi:DVA, FastCompany, and International Design Excellence were part of the harvest of the past year. According to Sean Carney, Chief Design Officer at Philips, the award-winning designs are all examples of products that “make the world healthier and more sustainable through Design”.

As an independent entity within Royal Philips NV, Philips Design provides design services to all of Philips’ business units and selected external customers. Philips Design is active in 15 design studios around the world with approximately 500 employees, one of the most diverse teams of its kind in the world. Philips Design offers a wide range of design services, “from product design, packaging design, identity design, environmental design and interface and interaction design to design of the total user experience, innovation design and expertise in understanding people, cultures, and societies.”
